Step 1: Upload an image or use a prompt
Accepts PNG or JPG. The pipeline detects the image type automatically and picks the best extraction method.
| Outlines & clip-art | Black on white, coloring-book style. Fastest — uses simple threshold. |
| Illustrations & logos | Subject on a solid or plain background. Uses colour-distance extraction. |
| Photos | Any background. Uses local U2Net AI (no API key, runs offline). |
Keep shapes simple and avoid thin lines for best print results.
Step 2: Trace tuning (SVG)
Run step 1, then step 2 to preview.
- If tracing is jagged, increase Simplify.
- Threshold applies only to outline/binary images. For photos it is ignored.
- Re-run this step as much as you need; no new prompt tokens.
Step 3: STL settings
Generate STL to preview.
